Jim Dodge entered the New York Comedy Scene in 2001 with a set
at The Comedy Cellar in New York City's Village. Since then, he
has appeared at many of New York's finest comedy clubs including
Carolines, The Laugh Factory, Stand-Up New York, and Gotham Comedy
Club. Jim was a Comedy Central Laugh Riots Semi-Finalist in 2002
and is determined to make you laugh, or at the very least, uncomfortable.
Raised in the bustling metropolis of South Jersey, Jim learned
early on the value of a good fart joke. His high school existence
consisted mainly of sucking at basketball, nurturing his sarcasm
and quiet nights alone exploring his body. Jim attended college
in the early 90's where he mastered the multitasking demands of
semi-pro inebriation while plowing through an academic regimen
that left him ill equipped to the deal with the outside world.
Following school Jim moved to Hoboken NJ for several years where
he sold unitards & body glitter door-to-door. He now resides
there while crafting his stand-up comedy. He runs a monthly show
in Hoboken with 3 other comics entitled "Comedy Without Reservations".
Jim also spent the last half of 2007 touring the country, featuring
for headliner Andrew Martinez on the "How Did I Get Here?"
Comedy Tour.
In fall of 2009 Jim appeared in the McDonalds "New England
Coffee" commercial. (he's the bald guy).
